Hockey Game

Chris surprised us by getting tickets to a Fargo Force hockey game!!

We have talked about going to a game for...well since we were married. We always talked about going to a UND - the Fighting Sioux game which is up in Grand Forks (an hour away). But with the kids that just hasn't happened yet.

So we went to the Fargo Force game, which was so much more family friendly AND about 5 minutes from our house. Score!!

 When Ryken's sickness lasted longer than we expected, we didn't know if we would be able to go or not. But we waited it out and didn't sell the tickets or give them away. Friday, Ryken woke up much better - still not himself, but he played all day! :) 

So we went! So glad we did!

Ryken almost cried when they made their first goal and everyone cheered and the buzzer went off. He likes to know things are coming and well there is very little notice in a fast paced game like hockey. But Chris did great at letting him know that everyone was happy cause they made a goal. He got better with each one. Raya on the other hand, didn't seem bothered by the loud noises!

We saw a player break his stick at one point too! 

 They both sat so well! So much to look at and keep them busy! Even when the game wasn't going, they did fun interactive things to watch. Plus, all the people that are always just walking around! 

Ryken did have some scowls in him though! 

 At half time, a bunch of little kids came out on skates and in jerseys and they "played a game". It was hilarious to watch as they were like domino's!! One would fall and 3 others would then too. One would get up, while another would fall! It was cute to see! And what a neat experience for the little ones! 

 Raya was bouncing and dancing to the music. She was a hoot! She would talk and "cheer" too! 

She had a blast being up past her bedtime! 

 We got a HUGE bowl of popcorn! Man, did this little guy devour it! 

We all enjoyed it!

 First of many games...we hope! :)
