Saturday, December 13, we had our 3rd Annual Women's Soup and Cookie Exchange.
We didn't really know who was going to show up, as we had last minute RSVP's as well as last minute cancellations!
But we have a nice turnout!! Around 20 women and girls!
We started off with a soup lunch with 2 soups to choose from. There was salad and bread as well! One of the ladies brought some of her homemade jelly with crackers too which was a nice addition to the menu!
We honestly wanted to keep it simple and just have a time for the women to talk and get to know each other more. And that is how it turned out!
After lunch, when it looked like people were done getting seconds, we gathered those who brought cookies and did our cookie exchange!
More people participated in that then we expected - which was a fun surprise!
We all left with a nice variety of cookies!
We asked the ladies there if we should do it again next year and we got a handful of hearty "YES's!" Which was enough for us! So next year we will do it again - and we already have some new ideas!
I am thankful for all the help - committed as well as unexpected.

ReplyDeleteI miss cookie exchanges. I almost did one just with friends this year, but the weekends in December just filled up too quickly. Maybe next year!
