Day 2 Day Joys

Week of July 20

Ryken got a free piece of cheese at the meat shop this week! One of the owners asked him if he liked cheese and he got a piece.
Once we got to the car, I asked him if I could have a bite...he said no! :/
Sorraya turend 6 months this week!
Gosh, that has gone fast!
There was an adoption auction the other week online and I won this little drooling scarf for Sorraya.
I think its an interesting idea and will be excited to try it out when she really starts drooling and when it is a little cooler! But she sure looks cute with it on! :)
It was a beautiful day, so we took a walk to the grassy field by our house and we flew a kite.
Showing Ryken how we fly a kite.
He held it for a while and it stayed up. He actually could have gotten the kite to fly. It really is that easy to get up...especially in ND where there is always wind.
He did let go of it once, but it didn't get very far and we got it.
 Friday was a special day!
We got to have the Ross family, from AZ, over for the afternoon and for supper.
Matt's parents have a cabin in Minnesota and they fly into Fargo and then drive to the cabin.
Since I have moved to ND, Jenn has come see me each time.
The boys got along so well! They loved running around the kitchen island chasing each other.
They played in the dirt and with sticks!!

Jenn captured this sweet picture of the two of them. They were taking turns brushing the dirt off each other, after pouring more on! :)
 Lots of hug were given!
It was a nice warm day and after playing in the dirt, we thought the splash pad would feel good...and clean them up! ;)
We were basically the only ones there!

While the brats for dinner were cooking, the boys rode around on the bikes.
 All the kiddos.
Blake is 30 months, Ryken is 28 months, Kade is 9 months, and Sorraya is 6 months.
 Mommies and their babies!
It was such a nice time speeding the afternoon with the Ross'. Thanks for taking the time out of your trip to come and see us.

This little monkey loves chewing on her toes! :) It crakes us up!

She also loves chewing on the necklace like this too. The walrus chew!
My sister told me about grilled peaches, we had to try them.
Here is the Grilled Peach recipe, but really, you just grill them and add ice cream and walnuts! Yum!!

We went to the park to kick the soccer balls around again on Saturday.
This time we brought the kite, so Daddy could see how Ryken can fly the kite.
 Ryken made a Raya goal.
He pushed the stroller into the goal. She thought the net was neat and was reaching for it!

Celebrating ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!
