Week of August 3
The kids and I stayed home from church on Sunday.
We went to sunday school and half way through, Chris was holding Sorraya and she spit all over and as we were cleaning her up, Ryken was on my lap and he sneezed and had huge snot streams. Chris and I looked at each other and said lets just go home. So Chris took us home and then went back.
It was better for everyone.
Monday morning our furniture came at 7am! It was an exciting morning!
When we got home from grocery shopping, I spotted this little furry guy in our garage.
We got him on a stick and watched him move around.
Ryken thought it was pretty cool.
Tuesday, there was an event called Night to Unite.
It is where fire fighters and police men come and get to know the community in a friendly setting, before having to meet them, if one would need them, in an emergency setting.
We honestly just went to see the fire trucks, as we knew a little boy would just love it!
We got to see the aerial ladder come back down by the truck as well.
Ryken petting a police dog named Daisy!
It ended at 9pm, and we got there at 8 and a lot of people were already packing up. So next time we will go sooner, so Ryken can actually stand on and go in the fire truck. Plus, there were all sorts of demenstration shows going on as well: how the dogs help, how the firefighters put out a fire in a building...those sort of fun things. As well as lots of free things.
Sorraya went in the discovery center for the first time this week. Her feet kinda hang still, but she loved playing with all the toys! Ryken was helpful showing her how everything worked.
Sitting watching the planes come in!
Sorraya is still pretty unbalanced, but she can sit up for short periods of time!
Ryken was trying to help her sit up, but ended up pushing her over more than keeping her up. But like I said, not very balanced yet.
Sorraya loves Chris' beard, nose and mouth. She is really grabbing at any and anything these days! Learning so much!
The Rudolph's, who use to live in Fargo, came back for a visit/work trip. It was so wonderful to see them again!
The boys are 2 months apart and both love anything to do with construction or cars! It was fun to see them run around together, laugh and play.
Since they left, they had a beautiful baby girl, Kaylee, who is 2.5 months now.
Ryken and Sorraya were keeping her company!
Celebrating ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!

Looks like another fun week! I love Ryken's face in the picture with the caterpillar. Kids are just so amused by the simple things! Go Sorraya! Sitting up some by yourself and being in the bouncer for the first time! She just keeps getting so big! Glad you guys could have the Rudolf's visit and that truck/police event looks really cool. Oh! And the picture of Raya Bean on Chris' chest is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun times with friends! You always do such fun things! LOVE seeing the pictures!
