Day 2 Day Joys

Week of August 10

Sunday afternoon, when the boys were taking naps, Sorraya and I were making the menu for the week and took a break and took some pictures as well! :)

Since cars are all over the house, Sorraya is bound to enjoy them too!
Rebecca, Josiah and Kaylee came over Monday morning for a bit!
The boys enjoyed playing outside!
Josiah likes tractors as much as Ryken does...so here they were watching one digging in a yard down the street!
Our smiley little girl! Such a joy she is!
She was sitting in the bouncer and I was behind her in the chair and she arched back and I look down and see her just beaming at me! She loves to interact with people!
When she lays on our laps, she arches her head back in-between our legs and just likes to look around that way! It cracks us up!
Tuesday, I had a lunch get together at our house for the ladies from the church who could come and spend a little more time with Rebecca!
It was a small group, but it was so nice!
We had a yogurt parfait bar for lunch and enjoyed one anothers company.
Since we had an extra pair of hands around, we got a picture of us with all the kids!
Rebecca and the kids stayed the rest of the afternoon!
Our final grade was done in our yard....finally! It looks beautiful! haha!
Later in the week, the flags were put in for where the sprinklers will go as well!
Little by little, it is getting done!
My sweet babies! :)
Wednesday, Rebecca generously brought me a birthday lunch. When they lived here, we would usually go out for lunch or frozen yogurt for each others birthdays. They spent the rest of the afternoon with us...as they had to be checked out of their hotel earlier in the day!
When the boys were little, they had matching outfits that we took pictures of them in, so naturally we had to get some matching pictures of the girls as well!

Sorraya was a little bit too much in Kaylee's space! She was licking and sucking on her arms and elbows. She was smacking her in the face and she even stuck a finger in Kaylee's open mouth! It was quite comical. Thankfully Kaylee was a good sport!
The pictures turned out great!
One last play session with the boys outside with the cars and tractors!
It was so nice seeing the Rudolph's for more than one day! :)
Looking forward to their visit's in the future!
 Pre-bath picture! :)
Ryken likes to hit rocks with sticks....aka...baseball.
He was having fun playing today.
Here is his "Hey, batter batter" pose! :)

One morning,  Ryken was eating yogurt for breakfast and a fly came and joined him. He came and was sitting in little piles of yogurt on his tray. Ryken was getting a kick out of it! Oh the little things!
The fly is on the left side of the tray in this picture.
Thursday, we had family pictures taken in sunflower fields! :)
A couple from church, the Pakala's, have sunflower fields all around their house, so we went and Megan was kind enough to make herself available on such short notice to take them!!
Haven't gotten them back yet, but this was a sneak peek one! Can't wait!
Then the Pakala's invited us to stay for supper after the pictures! It was so thoughtful!
It was such a nice evening, eating out on their enclosed porch.
It was a beautiful evening out in the country!!

Friday and Saturday, we went camping as a family at Maplewood State Park.
More on that in another post!

Celebrating ordinary moments that makes life extraordinary!

  2. Oh what a fun week!! :) Love the pictures of Sorraya and Ember did that same thing of putting her head down between your knees. Silly girls! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ryken in his hat with the stick - so adorable! Looks like you guys had a great time with the Rudolfs and hopefully they can visit again soon. And the grade looks great. What is next? Grass after the sprinklers? And I agree with Steph. I can't wait for the rest of the sunflower pictures and the camping pictures!
