The long anticipated visit from Kristin and Ember finally came!
Monday
We picked them up early afternoon.
So excited they are here!!
The girls hit it off right away.
Every morning, the first thing Ember asked about was Baby! :)
Reading books today!
Aunt Ally got to read it to Ember.
It was a favorite book over the week between the kids.
Snuggles with Aunt Kristin!
Once the big kids woke up, we all went grocery shopping for the week!
Ryken showing Ember how to blow bubbles in the bath!
Ember showed Ryken how to hold the straw in his mouth!
Tuesday
Early morning car rides together!
We went to Yunker Farms for the morning!
We did the activities inside first! It was 2 levels of fun! We really only went on the 2nd level though and didn't even see it all!
Ryken playing with the train set!
Ember brushed some teeth!
Working the pulley system with Aunt Kristin...and clearly letting her do all the work!
This was the toddler room that they enjoyed!
There was a music room.
This man was playing the guitar along with nursery rhymes.
There was a piano and drums to play!
Then we walked around the outside of the farm to see what else there was!
The kids thrilled to be posing for a picture!
We found a park and enjoyed the slides!
Sorraya napping in the sunshine and fresh air!
Then we went on the train ride that looped twice and went in a tunnel!
It was a big hit!!!
It was bright! haha!
Before we left, we enjoyed a picnic in the shade!
After naps, I got to make some goofy faces with Ember and give her a ride in the car.
Kristin and I both had not seen the movie Frozen yet, so we got it when they were here to watch it together!
We had the kids sit in the cars for a picture - like they were in the drive in. They stayed for 10 minutes or so!
Very into it at first.
Then it was a little harder to follow the movie, as it usually is when watching with toddlers and newborns around! :)
We put it on the next morning to kinda watch it again before we took it back!!
Kristin and I enjoyed the movie and the kids liked dancing to the music!
Ryken loves playing the dirt these days, so Ember got to join in on the fun!
Since it had been raining, the ground of moist, so we pulled some weeds while we were out there. The kids liked throwing them in the trash can!
We went on a walk after supper and captured the kids holding hands! Sweet!
Wednesday
Letting the kids have some space from each other! :) Ryken was so excited to have Ember there, that he was always next to her, and she didn't care for it all the time! :)
We made a quick trip to Sam's Club!
Later after naps, we met Megan at the airport - who graciously agreed to take pictures of the kids!
We wanted to get there a little early so they could run around in this new place before we made them sit and take pictures! It seemed to help!
Sweet girls!
We haven't gotten the pictures back from Megan yet, but I took a few because I loved the background they were by!
The kids enjoyed playing outside while supper was getting ready!
Another bath was needed!
Apparently Ember really likes to make this face! Mom joined in too!
Thursday
We woke up to rain today, so the morning was low key!
It was the perfect day to FaceTime with Grandma and Grandpa! They kids enjoyed it and the grandparents ALWAYS love it!
:)
It cleared up, so we got outside and drew with the chalk!
Friday
In the morning, we went to a park to let the kids play for a little bit!
As we were walking back to the van, an older gentleman and his adult daughter were taking a walk. They enjoyed seeing the kids and the older man gave the kids some money to get a treat with. His daughter told us to take it because he loves to give. It was sweet!
Here the kids are with their money!
So we did just that, we went to the grocery store and got some treats for us all to share!
The kids rode in the car and loved it!
Our yummy treats from Grandpa Orville!
The kids (and moms) enjoyed a little bit of each!
Then it was time to say goodbye! :(
Big hugs and sweet kisses till we see each other again!
It was a wonderful week that went by too fast! It was so nice they could come and meet Sorraya and see our new house! We always enjoy our time together with the kids. Since we are states apart, we make the most of our visits!
So thankful they were able to come!!!

Great job!! I loved reading through this and looking at all the pictures! Wish we could see you guys again sooner!! Love you all!
