Lots of learning about Triangles this week!
Making a triangle collage.
My friend Jenn gave me the idea of a banner...and we made a name one!
We decorated it with stamping it with triangle shaped sponges.
He did a great job!
Had a triangle ham and cheese sandwich for lunch!
Mom ate half! :)
Matching up our shape buttons with the shapes on the paper.
We made a sail boat!
Played with triangles in the tub...
...along with the sail boat.
He liked chewing on the straw the best!
Matching up our big and little triangles made our of popsicle sticks.
Made an alligator with triangle teeth.
Ryken loved the googly eyes.
He was done with putting on teeth, and just wanted to look at the book.
Love that!
So we pointed out the triangle teeth through out the book.
Ryken loves hangers...so I tried to do a craft with them.
Never really found one...so we made a triangle mobile.
He loved shaking it all around...and kept coming back to me to fix the very tangled strings. :)
It was a very windy day, so we took it outside and watched them blow in the wind.
Ryken working hard on figuring out this glue stick, so he didn't care much about the yellow triangle petals.
But he did great at putting the sunflower seeds in the middle of the sunflower.
Dad got to play Triangle toss with Ryken.
Ryken LOVED this activity.
I adapted an idea from my friend Jenn.
He loved running around them.
We sorted out triangles, that we happened to have 4 colors of! :)
Then we drove our cars and trucks along all 3 sides of the triangles.
He loved it and did so great!
Ryken is really getting the hang of the do-a-dot markers. It's fun to see improvement.

He ate raw green pepper, which was a shocker to us.

He enjoyed eating it as well of course!
Next week, is review week of the shapes learned so far!!
So fun!!! I want to come play! And eat, too :) don't you just love how shapes pop out everywhere when you are teaching them! Great idea with a hanger!
