Kristin and Ember came to visit us in ND August 19- August 23.
This post seemed like it would be daunting to do because we took SO many pictures...
But Kristin did her post about the trip on her blog and did such a good job with just a few pictures!
So I tried to as well!
Still ended up with 41...oh well!
Monday
Kristin and Ember flew in and we were happy to pick them up from the airport.
Ember did great on the flight, which is ALWAYS a plus!
Ryken started calling Ember "baby" right away.
They played together a little bit before bed.
Tuesday
We walked along the Red River to the Farmers Market.
It was a warm morning, but enjoyable none the less!
And we supported the local farmers!
After lunch and naps, we headed to the splash pad and enjoyed some more sun.
There were a TON of kids around.
Ember felt a little scared of all of them splashing them, so she stayed close to mom.
Ryken enjoyed himself immensely...like usual.
The one time they played with the same thing was captured!
But barely. Ryken sound realized that this little animal didn't have any water coming out of it!
We wrapped the babies in towels to dry off and got a cool popsicle to cool down.
They were jolly rancher ones! YUM!
Ryken's first popsicle. You can bet he enjoyed it!
They loved playing on the air mattress! All smiles and giggles!
A few tears from falling off and bonking heads...but not to many!
Bath time!!
I love Ryken's look at Ember! So sweet!
Happy babies!
Clean babies with their mommies!
Wednesday
Kristin watched Ryken while Ember was napping and I ran a few errands!
In the afternoon, Megan, put her talent to work and took pictures of the cousins together.
The mommies/sisters had to get in there too.
After dinner, we took a trip to show Kristin the progress of the house.
Uncle Christopher got a little play time in with Ember as well.
Thursday
I got to snuggle both babies at once!
They played so nice. Ryken shared quite nice too!
Ryken copying Aunt Kristin by sitting on the stool.
We made a trip to the zoo.
First time for both little ones!
Checking out big animals!
And little ones!
In the petting zoo.
Cousins!!
Getting ready to ride on the carousal.
Ember liked it very much. She was making loud, happy noises the whole time!
Ryken was a huge fan as well. Smiling and enjoying the ride.
We ended the zoo trip with some dipping dots! YUM!
Uncle Chris with Ember!
After dinner, Kristin treated us to frozen yogurt. YUM!
Friday
Ryken took Embers silky pj's once again. He loved walking around the house with them in his hand and thumb in his mouth!! Too cute!
One last picture of the cousins before Ember left.
We went to Ruby Tuesday for lunch from ladies from our church. It was a lunch for Rebecca, one last one before she and her family move to South Dakota.
I woke up with a cold, so I napped with the kids after lunch and Kristin and Ember left shortly after.
It was such a wonderful time. We all enjoyed ourselves so very much!!
Can't wait to be together again in November.

Very nice job as well! I was intimidated as well to do the blog for this trip but decided that I just needed to choose my favorite pictures... which was really hard! There were just too many great pictures and wonderful memories in only 4 days! :)
