Day 2 Day Joys: Sep 13-Sep 19

Week of September 13

Sunday Best!
We stayed and went to church with our family!
Went out to eat with all of them so we could see the other sister and her family that didn't come to the black hills with us!
Ryken was thankful Matthew shared a special drink with him!
Chris' oldest sister, Cinnamon, just moved into a new house and so we swung by and saw it real quick after lunch! It was beautiful! We are very excited for them to get all settled in!
We didn't want to drive home and then have to drive back to Valley City, as Chris was scheduled to preach this week...so that is why we stayed with the family and just drove to Valley City then, instead of driving to fargo and then back tracking to Valley City again! Plus, it was fun to see Cinnamon and the family for a little bit as well!

On Tuesday, We had our first Exhale meeting of the year!
The theme is Fruits of the Sprit - so one of the ladies made these cute centerpieces for each table!
I am excited to get to know the members in my group more and to see what God has in store for the year of learning and growing together!
We still haven't gotten our pictures back, but we were able to see one picture as a sneak peak!!
And now, I can't wait to see the rest all the more! :)
I love this kids imagination!
Here is turned his car on its end and he used the door of the car to pretend to be where you drop books in at the library drop box! I loved it!
Thursday morning we went and got donuts...why?
Because our baby is 14 weeks old! Don't need much more of a reason!
Here is Ryken holding up "14" fingers..but sometime from when he had the right fingers up and when I took the picture...we jumped to 15! Oh well, not perfect! But love his little smile behind his fingers!
Rachel and Cana came over for the afternoon this week!
The kids were obsessed with Cana and it made my heart smiles since there will be a little one in less than 6 months for them to love and help with!
Ryken quickly learned that when Cana cried, you put the pacifier in to help her not cry! haha!
We were playing outside and she stood so pretty in front of the door!
Love that sweet little smile!
And we don't know what she was pointing at!
Pizza lunch at Sam's this week!! The kids always love Sams or Costco days!
Turned 14 weeks this week!
Took the first picture...finally!
Sorraya's highchair sit in a place in our house where in the morning, the sun is slightly on her. She always looks so beautiful, that I had to try and get a picture of that sun kissed beautiful face of her's!:)
Saturday, we went for a drive to Maplewood State Park to see how the colors were coming along! They have a way to go!
But the Sumac bushes were nice and red, which brings their own beauty!
Chris always turns onto roads that look fun or interesting, and because he does that, we often find many beautiful sights or interesting things! And this one was no exception!
It was meant for people to park and capture the beauty of the grasslands...but there was no sign...so not to many people really know about it, would be my guess!
But Chris called it. He said "I bet mo is thinking what a great spot for a family picture this would be. Kids sitting on the fence and all." He nailed it! So we will be back next time we come to Maplewood!
We stopped in Pelican Rapids and ate at the little Mexican restaurant!
It's always yummy!

Celebrating the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!

  1. So fun! 14 weeks for new baby sounds like the perfect time for donuts! Sorraya looks so grown up in the picture by the front door and I love the morning glow in the high chair too. Another great week for the Brucks!
