Day 2 Day Joys: Sep 20-Sep 26

Week of September 20

It was Fellowship meal day and therefore we were running late. No time for a Sunday's Best picture!
But here is little Sorraya helping Matt out by putting chairs away! :)
Most of the time when the cashiers put one thing in a bag, it drives me nuts. But this week it was fun cause the kids had a blast helping!!
Found her down in Ryken's room sitting in a chair with the blanket over her lap and rocking away! Such a sweetie!
Park day with Exhale...but we were the only ones after one mom left about 5 minutes after we got there! :( Oh well... It was a beautiful day, and the kids had a blast!
Sharing a swing! Not sure what he was singing!
When we left for the park, we saw these machines tearing up the road and I told them that if they were still digging once we were done at the park - we would bring our lunch and watch them!
They were still there and we brought lunch!
They liked it!
Since we were on the corner of a very busy street...one man stopped and asked if everything was ok! haha! Very kind - but yes, just watching the tractors!
The aftermath of coloring with markers! Which she loves!
This week, I had an OB check up and brought the kids with me.
They enjoyed the elevator, being on the 6th floor, playing with the toys, getting stickers afterwards.
And might I add...they did so well! Very thankful!
We got to hear the heartbeat of the baby! Ryken was thrilled and excited about it leading up to it...but then when he saw mom on that doctors table...he didn't care about it anymore. I  look a video of the heartbeat and the kids experiences, and it was hilarious. He pretty much scowled the whole time. He loves our baby...just doesn't like mama on that table! :) Sweet boy!
We got done with the appointment so quickly that we had time to go to the Library before our next stop!
Our next stop was to take the Birthday Girl, Ellen, out for pancakes!!
Their love for each other is mutual!
We had a surprise guest come join us and deliver her gift to Ellen and enjoy lunch as well!
Ryken liked pouring in Miss Deb's cream and stir her coffee! :)
She was very sweet and patient with him!
One night, Chris gave Raya some chocolate chips in a muffin cup.
This is something that his mom always did for him and his siblings when he was little.
I love it when he does things with our kids that he did when he was little! They love it too!
Play date with friends one morning!
Sorraya warming up to the dog!
Ice cream treat- just because!
The kids thought this chair was silly! They kept looking at the top - it was hilarious!
Saturday, we went to the Fall Festival!!
More pictures in a separate post!
When the big, long ladder comes in the house...it's an exciting time!
Bath time!! Rub a dub dub, brother and sister in the tub!
She was washing Ryken! Too cute!

Celebrating the ordinary moments that make like extraordinary!!

  1. Sorraya seems like such the helper! Helping with the chairs at church and then helping wash Ryken - such a sweetie! Ember will be glad when Reece is old enough to sit in the bath with her.... she always is washing the tub and my legs that are in the bath. A brother will be much more fun!
