Ryken: 3.5 years old

Ryken is 3 and a half years old!

How can that be!?

Ryken has such a personality!! Still - and I don't expect it to lessen anytime soon!!

He is such a friendly little guy! Always quick to give a smile, wave or a "Hi" to friends and strangers alike. He is quick to share the exciting things of life at the moment! He loves to be involved with everything. "Where are you going?" "What are you doing?" "Can I come too?" "Can I see it?" He is so curious and inquisitive! He loves to ask questions and learn! He processes everything out loud and we never have to guess what he is thinking about! He loves to play with his sister. He is always asking her "Raya, you want to come play with me?" He enjoys including her in fun things most the time. He often thinks of her and what we can get for Raya as well. "Can raya have a lollipop too?" He is always asking how he can help me around the house. He is stubborn! He is sweet! He is sympathetic! He is obsessive! He is affectionate! He has a good memory! He is not adventurous - but timid to try new things. He is not quiet. He can be a brick wall sometimes! He is a challenge, but a such a joy to see progress and grow! We love him for who God has made him!

He loves cars, trains, tractors and airplanes! He loves books and has been asking more lately if we can read to him. He loves to "write" with his pen in his own little notebook that I got for him. He likes to bring his own list to the store when we grocery shop. He likes puzzles! He likes to play with daddy's micro machines. He loves playing down in the dirt under out stairs. He likes to swing now. He loves it when daddy stays home from work. He likes to watch race cars with daddy! He loves to be thrown on the couch by daddy! He likes to sit on daddy's shoulders. He likes to help push carts and strollers. He loves to help. He loves going places, seeing new things, meeting new people. He loves it when we have guests over for supper. He loves babies! He likes sending mail to people and thinks of it often on his own. He loves to get treats and special drinks (anything other than water). He can put all his clothes on by himself (except socks). He can take them off as well. He can go to the bathroom without one of us present (except for when he poops). He loves to help by opening doors for me and others. He will hold them open as well! He loves to hand out bulletins at church with daddy and shake peoples hands. He loves going to Exhale! He loves to see the fish at Walmart! He has 12 catechism questions down pretty much perfectly! Also, a few bible verses. He likes music and singing. He likes to sing his own songs - often making them up. He likes to "read" stories to Raya. He treasures his Bible and likes reading out of it and even pretending to preach. And much much more!

He is just at 3 ft tall and about 32lbs! 

Looking forward to seeing how he grows in the next 6 months before he becomes a big brother for the 2nd time!
