Week of May 3
Family here this weekend and got a sweet picture of the cousins!
These kids and their boxes! They love them, take them all over the house- including outside, and are always asking for more to play with before I throw one away!
Love what they come up with while playing with them!
So it's kinda hard to see, but on the floor - on the tile that his hand is on, there is a shape that looks like an animal. This tile it right in front of the potty that Ryken uses most of the time. One day he started telling me that there was an animal on the ground. He would say it kinda looked like a horse, or zebra or giraffe. It is upside down to him from where he sits on the potty, so the fact that he noticed it surprised me. But I could totally see it once he pointed it out! So we had to get a picture to document it! What a silly boy!
Leg lifts with the cutest little weight I ever did see!!!!! :)
When Nana and Papa came they brought a late birthday gift from his Aunt Cinnamon. It was this special water plane that goes in the water. Ryken trying it out in the water (finally) and loving it!!
Tuesday night was our last get together for this Exhale year!
It was a Spring Celebration and an evening event!
The leaders provided dinner and decorated the room for Cinco de Mayo.
Then each group was supposed to decorate their table with an obscure holiday!
Our group did Leprechaun Day!
One lady made a little Leprechaun and then another lady brought a pot of gold (which is hidden behind a flower pot).
Our sweet mentor mom gave us all some flowers!! So sweet!
We were given this delicious taco bar!
It was the best taco bar I ever had! Every topping available was there.
Each group got their own pitcher of this delicious strawberry slushy and then there were churros for dessert!
This is my group! (minus 2)
Some of these ladies were here from the beginning and some of them came over half way through! But each have been an encouragement and has been fun to grow new friendships!
It was such a fun way to end the year and I signed up for next year!
We had some rain this week and Ryken could't wait to wear his rain boots that were recently given to him from his cousin.
He had a blast jumping in the puddles and didn't complain about the wet and cold pants afterwards!
Ryken had been asking to make cookies all week...so we put on our aprons and made some rice krispie treats!!
Raya got to try on the apron and looked so cute in it!
Playing an interactive game with daddy!
We had our neighbor over for lunch on Thursday and she brought over these colored goldfish for the kids! Ryken couldn't wait to have some for snack once he got up from his nap!
At Home Depot, he stood up here and asked for his picture to be taken! :) I'm all about taking them when he asks! :) I get such a nice smile!
We met daddy for lunch on Friday at Sweeto Burrito!! YUM!
Then daddy came home early from work and had the chills, fever later and was sick all weekend! :(
Ryken was so sweet and just wanted to help make daddy feel better!
So he kept asking daddy if he wanted come crackers, something to drink, another blanket, a toy?? When Ryken gave this dinosaur to Chris, he just tucked it under his arm and kept on resting!
Celebrating the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!
