Ryken's Birthday Weekend

Our little boy turned two last weekend!!

Fridaynight we made some homemade ice cream together with our new ice cream maker we got for Christmas from Chris parents. Mom told us it was so easy and turned out so good.
We must say, it is so easy and really turns out so delicious.

 Saturday

In the morning, Ryken took his free cupcake coupon to Barnes and Noble and picked out a birthday cupcake.

There were only 2 to choose from, so we went with Red Velvet.

 Two candles in the cupcake!
He tried to blow them out, but it didn't quite go. Mom and dad helped!
 Digging in!

Mom had some fun with pictures!
Ryken loves cars...it seemed fitting! :)

 Our handsome big boy Ryken!

We sure do love our little guy!! (Raya was sleeping)

 He opened a few presents!

We had Famous Daves for dinner at home. Ryken loves meat and fries...so we got both.
After dinner we watched Disney's Robin Hood.
And ended the night singing Psalm 1, which is the Psalm we picked for him at his 1st birthday which sets forth the hope we have for him in his life!

Sunday, his actual birthday, was busy with being at church most the day. So that is why we celebrated on Saturday!

Our little guy has grown a lot in a year! He brings us so much joy and we are so grateful that God chose to give him to us. What a privilege it is to be his parents.

  2. Yeah for birthdays! What a special thing for Ryken as he is just getting old enough to get excited for his birthday and getting to do extra special things. Where did you get the coupon for a free cupcake from B&N? I want one on my birthday!! :)

    1. He is signed up for the Barnes and Noble kids club coupons, so the coupon came in the email. Not sure if it will work for you! ;)
