Day 2 Day Joys: May 31-Jun 6

Week of May 31

Sunday Best!
I was back in the cry room with Raya and captured this sweet moment in the closing prayer during the service!
Back in Valley City for the evening service!
These two are such good buddies! When they see each other, they run up to each other and give a giant hug!
It was the first time up in the actual sanctuary this week, instead of meeting in the basement!! It really is a beautiful old building!
While Chris was up stairs preaching, we were down stairs due to noisy kids!
But Ryken was pretending to preach and it was the cutest thing!!
He did all the parts of the sermon: read scripture, prayed, sang and sermon!
Pretending to pray before he pretends to preach!
This week, we went to Hobby Lobby with Rachel to pick out some fabric for her little girls nursery!
Then we swung by Sonic for happy hour and went to the park!
Tuesday, we went to Courts Plus for or Exhale play date, since it was rainy!
We had never been, so it was fun to check it out and the kids had a blast!
There was this little tikes place that both kids liked better than the big main play place!
Washing his giraffe...with a paint brush!
Then he started washing and painting my feet and toes!!
We are making a baby gate for our deck, so that we can leave the kids out there while playing and not have to worry about them going down or falling down the stairs!
This week at Costco was a exciting time! I am always impressed with their customer service and this confirmed it all the more.
We were over in the corner watching the fork lifts working and a worker comes over and saw what we were doing and he told us he would go tell the driver to drive around a little bit...so they had something to watch. I was floored! How thoughtful! The driver was doing tricks and spinning around really quick and really just putting on a good show!! The kids loved it!
My good friend, Steph, had her 2nd baby this week!
Sterling Davis was born June 3
8 lbs 6 oz
Both mommy and baby are doing well!
We are rejoicing with their family!
We brought our tractor and dump truck to the park to dig in the dirt, since we do not have anymore dirt in our yard!
It was a highlight that he has been looking forward to!
Too bad we had to leave early due to a bad attitude!
We had our good friends Joel and Lorretta over this week!
They have moved to AZ for good now, but there son was getting married here in Fargo, so we were able to see them while they were in town!
It was nice to catch up!
Lorretta had a shirt on that reminded me of one that Raya has, so I put it on her and they got a picture!
Ryken asks for donuts a lot! He loved them like his mommy does!
Each Wednesday at Chris' work they had donuts and he brought some home for us!
I didn't tell him till the morning, so it was a fun surprise for Ryken to be able to ask for one and it be able to happen!
The very next day was actually National Donut Day and we planned to go get one, but since Dad was so kind to think of us and bless us with this treat, we didn't go, because this was a better reason to have a donut anyways!!!
Found a new park today that we all enjoyed!
The kids love taking the cushions off and jump on them!!
Garage sales again this weekend!
The kids love it as much as I do!
Raya was waiting for Ryken to come up from his nap! She sure loves her brother!
Friday, we had two missionaries here to give a presentation.
One was from Cuba and the other one helps in Cuba and other places!
We had a dinner first and then the presentation!
Sorraya was running around in the back and she was running along the lines! When they would turn, she would turn too! It cracked me up!
We ended up in the nursery during the presentation! I was bummed...but that's the stage we are in right now!
But the kids had a blast pushing each other in the baby stroller!
Daddy had meetings at church all morning on Saturday...so we went and got breakfast from Sonic and went and ate it at the pond/park!
It was a windy morning, but it was very nice out!
There was a park near by that we played out for a while!
Melts my heart!
After the hug, he turns to her and gently touches her cheek!
Then I remembered that there was a free community event...so we ran home quick and were off to some fun at Share a Story!

Celebrating the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!

  1. Looks like lots of summer fun! And that really is so cool about the fork lift at Costco! It is so nice when people go out of their way to do something nice! It takes so little time for them and means so much to your kiddos!
