2 months short of a year! Hard to believe!
After the first one...the next one really does seem to go faster!
She is obsessed with standing!
These were the hardest pictures to get yet.
Her and I both were ready to be done by the end.
Sorraya is such a sweet heart. She is such a happy thing and loves to smile. She coo's and talks and you can't help but smile. She is a true delight to have around. She is a sensitive little girl. She carries on for a while after a little head bump or bang to her head when she falls over or hits something. Her temper is increasing to come out as well. She will arch her back and kick her feet when she doesn't want to do something. She will also put her head to the ground and cry when you put her down and she doesn't want to be down. She is strong willed and stubborn. She sat in the front of the shopping cart for the first time this month. She started raising her hands over her head when eating and then would raise them when we would say "So Big"! She can wave back to you when you wave at her. She touches things with just her little index finger. She just points it out and touches things with it. She loves balloons. Loves chasing after then. Loves trying to bite them. She loves getting raspberries from Ryken. Just giggles and giggles. She loves bath time with big brother. She does try to stand in the tub, but is helped back to her bum immediately. Loves to greet Dad at the baby gate when he comes home each night. She will crawl over to him and he just loves their bond. She started standing like crazy this month. Stands up in her crib now too. She is pulling up on everything. She will let go and hang on with 1 hand some too. In the beginning of the month she would get up somewhere and then screech like a monkey until someone would help her down. We think she was scared and didn't know how to get down on her own. But by the end of the month she got that figured out. She wore shoes for the first time this month (some finally fit). First small snow fall happened this month for her to see. She has 3 teeth. She rubs her tongue along her top teeth and makes noise at the same time. It is the cutest thing. She loves music when it comes one and dances - bounces along with it. Gilmore Girls theme song is a favorite. She puts her head down on soft surfaces...like pillows and shag rugs. She doesn't lay on her back very nicely anymore. So diaper changes are quite the fight. We hardly use the changing table anymore, because she flips and turns so fast and so often, we don't want her to fall off. We sure do have to rassle her to get her changed or dressed. She sniff and scrunches her noes very often. It is just part of her lovable little personality. She sure loves her big brother. She is always following him around. Never to far behind. They love to laugh with one another. She sure loves all the cars that are at the house. Sharing has become more difficult with the two of them.
Sorraya is doing fantastic with eating solids. She really does seem to enjoy them. We all know when she is ready to eat. She loves yogurt. Loves. Loves. Loves it. All kinds and flavors. We keep it to Greek yogurt, but have been trying different brands since we go through it so much, trying some cheaper kinds! :) She doesn't seem to mind. She likes to eat mashed bananas, peaces and pears. She kinda likes applesauce - but that is fairly new yet still. She has had a hard time with vegetables. She doesn't seem to like any on their own. She has gagged on all of them so far just by themselves. After a few bites she will just not open her mouth. We have changed the consistency, but still, doesn't seem to help. She will get a spoon full and just open her mouth and stick out her tongue. That's a good sign of not liking it. So the only way we can get her to eat veggies right now is half veggies, half vanilla yogurt mixed. At least she gets some! :) She started eating chunks of banana on her own and is loving that. She does great. She takes her time and just loves it. She did eat a few peas, and a black bean, but not big fans, and she chocked on the skin both times. She still enjoys puffs too. She makes it very clear when she is still hungry and there is nothing in front of her. So we keep those to a minimum. She still nurses quiet a bit! Not as long, but still very much desires it.
Sorraya continues to be a good sleeper. She goes to bed so nicely and loves sleeping on her belly. She always rolls over to it right away. She enjoys sleeping with her head in one of the 4 corners of the crib - head pushed up against the bumpers. She often takes a nap in the morning and then one later in the afternoon when Ryken does. She falls asleep in the car regularly when we are out running errands. She goes to bed around 8 consistently. She wakes up usually once before I go to bed for a snack and then pretty much every night she gets up once more in the middle of the night. She has stopped pooping at night, which is so nice! :) She is such a happy little girl when she wakes up. We love seeing that little head pop up when she hears the door open and see those sleepy eyes smiling at us!
16 lbs 9 oz and 27 inches tall
She is our little sunshine and we thank God for her life and the way she brightens our lives and everyone else she interacts with.
