3 Months Old

Our Baby is already 3 months old!!! :)

A summary of little Ryken at the beginning of Month 3:

We love our little boy so much! We can't thank God enough for him!

Ryken is 12 lbs 6 oz and about 22 inches long. Still loves to eat. :) He enjoys sucking on his fist, but loves sucking/gnawing on dad's finger way more. He goes crazy over it. He moves it around to each side of his mouth. He still likes to be swaddled when sleeping or napping as well as have his noise maker on. He goes to bed for us pretty good. He wakes up usually twice a night still. Has been sleeping a little longer in the mornings. He has started napping in his crib. Usually has a morning nap and then maybe an afternoon nap. Really doesn't sleep much during the day. He has put himself to sleep a couple times with no rocking needed. Yay. He likes story time in the morning more now; smiles and "talks" during it. He still loves the play mat. He kicks his little heart out on there. Still scooting himself around it. He likes having something up against his feet to kick at. He is starting to try and turn himself over on his belly. He loves playing with daddy on his lap. He coo's tons there. Likes most noises that come out of people's mouth. Still loves his changing table. He waits for a new, clean diaper to poop in most mornings. Loves to be naked. Likes to play in just his diaper. Still loves bath time. Moves around in the water like crazy, splashing along the way. It has become a pattern that as soon as we put him in the bath tub, he pees. Ha. Still is not crazy about his car seat...but is getting better. Static radio stations still work great. He likes when mommy sings silly songs to him and makes his arms and legs do motions. He likes walks in the stroller with no car seat. He acts like he is tasting the wind when we go out in it. The sun seems pretty bright for him yet. He is so very curious, sometimes too much for his own good. Really seems to like interacting with people. Ryken loves to stand up with the help for balancing. He is a solid little guy. He loves seeing himself in the bathroom mirror too. He sucks his thumb more. He now naps and sleeps in his crib at night. He sucks on his bottom lip too. He has rolled over twice from his stomach to back. We have been working on putting him to bed and down for a nap, by just being placed in his crib and he has been doing so good at falling asleep on his own now. :) We are also slowly getting him out of his swaddle...also going very well. He has found his toes. Ryken can recognize us in his little mirror in the car now, which is fun.
