Garden Party

There was this free Garden Party event on Saturday that seemed fun and something Ryken would enjoy! So, during his nap/quiet time I took him! :)
We saw a baby alpaca! 4 days old to be exact!
Big white rabbit! :)
He painted with potatoes and carrots!
We were educated to not through away "Ugly foods" - the foods that have yucky spots or bruises or wholes from insects. Just cut them off instead of throw the whole thing away!
He planted a pumpkin seed!
This was a "scratch and sniff" area. You were allowed to touch the plants and then they would smell! I can't remember which one he touched and smelled...but it was one that is a strong smell that most people don't care for - and he made the most appropriate face! :)
He participated in a plant walk (ya know...like a cake walk, but with plants) in hopes of winning a plant!
He did so great. He was so cute about stepping on each circle and finding his circle with number on it once the music stopped. If the kid in front of him didn't go forward at all when the music stopped, he didn't freak out, but just went to the number behind him. It was fun to see him so involved!
He won a plant...that once we planted it and watered it had pretty yellow little flowers!
Making an apple with seeds!
We were too late to get his face painted or a balloon animal...but he honestly wanted to play on the playground more than anything! So it worked out! :)
It was such a special time. Thankful of our time together!
Oh and he got a little bug which he was just thrilled about! :) Love the little things!!
We conclude our time with a slushy! He picked blue raspberry! :)
