Day 2 Day Joys: Aug 9-Aug 15

Week of August 9

Sunday Best!!
Today was Michael Beatty, the intern in Valley City, last Sunday!
So we went out for their last service with Michael!
This is the main group that has been coming on a regular basis!
Community Baptist Church is continually to help out Valley Baptist Church!!
We have a monthly schedule that they were very pleased with that we have come to an agreement on!
The first and second Sunday of the month, Chris and another Elder are going to take turns going out once a month.
The third Sunday is our fellowship meal in Fargo, so the Valley Baptist church is encouraged to come to our service and stay for lunch and 2nd service - since there will be not service out in Valley City that week!
Then the fourth Sunday of the month, our evening service in Fargo, will be moving location to Valley City, where our congregation is encouraged to come out for a evening service!
The fifth Sunday of the month, which  is only twice a year, Valley Baptist is to come to Fargo again for the morning service!
We are glad both congregations have been willing to sacrifice to keep this going!
If you think of all who are involved - please pray for the Lord or work!

"Taking pictures" at Walmart while waiting for our meat to cut!
Tuesday was a day at the splash pad!! Literally!
It was the location for the Tuesday play date with the Exhale mommies!
Kids throwing rocks in the water!
Most mom's bring a picnic lunch and we all eat together! It really is nice!
Today, it was a little boys birthday, so cupcakes were passed out! Yum!
She is getting to like the water all over her more and more!
Love that smile!!
Then we came home for naps...and I had planned another play date with a mom at the splash pad the week before not knowing that the play date for Exhale was here that same day! So we went back!
These boys are close in age and they also have a little girl right around Sorraya's age!
It was fun to see Ryken trying new things. He was putting his head in the water and letting it get all in his face! This is not something that he usually likes at all! He never likes when water gets in his face during a bath...unless he is in control of it. And same here, it was fine because he was in control of it!
Wednesday, we went to Buffalo River again! The summer is coming to a close and that means the opportunities to go to Buffalo River are very few!
So we went, and I invited other who wanted to go with me!
Ryken and I made a sand castle with moat!
One mom came with her kids and that was nice to visit while watching our kids!
One of her kids was a little adventurous one and he found this caterpillar right when they got to the River. He literally walked around the whole pond and showed everyone this caterpillar. I don't think he even went in the water!
He also brought a cage and food in hope of catching some squirrels! :)
Thought it was a nice shot...except for the plastic fence! ;)
Snuggling together!
Friday night guests!
The kids had fun climbing up and down the stairs!
A few houses down, there was a bounce house for a kids birthday party!
Chris and Ryken were mowing the lawn outside when a lady came and told him that Ryken could come over and jump if he wanted to!
We waited till after naps before we went over and we shouldn't have, because Ryken got to jump a few jumps and then go down the slide once and then the men came to pack it up and take it away! So that was a bummer!
But they also had a slip-n-slide out, so they turned that back on and the kids played together on that!
Ryken enjoyed running and sliding!
He wiped out a few times, but we went back for more!
Sorraya even fell a few times and slide and had a good time!
Warm snuggles after bath!

Celebrating the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!

  1. Wow! I am exhausted just looking at all that summer outside water fun!! (It is probably the 39 week pregnant part of me that is tired... haha) I have been trying to really be intentional about going outside too since the days are numbered till we will no longer be able to! So glad you have such a good connection with your exhale women. I am really happy that God led you to that ministry!
