Sorraya: 3 Months

Sweet Sorraya is 3 months old!
Sorraya is such a little ray of sunshine!! Her smiles, coo's and giggles are just the sweetest!!
She smiled at Ryken for the first time and has a few other times since then, when he is caught still enough for her to catch on to and watch. She smiles at the orange knob on the floor mat, just like her big brother did. It's so funny, what is it about that?
She has started laughing and it would without a doubt brighten anyone's day. Such a sweet sound. I have noticed it the most on the changing table, or when you kiss and make noises right by her ear! And even a few times when I was taking a shirt off. Usually babies don't like when there shirt is tight around there head, but she finds it funny! :)
Sorraya likes to talk and chatter. Her little chin quivers when she talks and smile sometimes. A little thing that makes Sorraya, Sorraya.
Sorraya enjoys being on her floor mat so much. She plays there so nicely, talks, smiles, coo's, plays with the toys surrounding her, kicks her little heart out or watches what is going on around her. She will even scoot a little bit on the mat too. She still seems to be perfectly fine in her car seat. She is still a good little traveler the majority of the time. Sorraya enjoys riding in the Baby Bjorn (baby carrier), and usually falls asleep when in there. Or sits content if she is awake.
She does not care for tummy time. She lasts for a little bit and then she gets so frustrated and angry. But because she doesn't lift her head up much yet when on tummy time, she scoots around on her face and she does a good job at cleaning out her noes! :)
Sorraya started sucking on her fist's and can make some pretty loud smacking noises.
Sorraya started rolling over to her side right before turing 3 months and then the very next day she rolled over twice from back to belly. We were so shocked since she just started the day before. She rolls over and get frustrated though, so she isn't quite there yet!
She is a strong little thing even though she is little. She has strong arms and legs and a strong neck when she isn't on her tummy. When laying on her back, she will push her feet on the ground and lift her bum up and scoot a little bit. And when she has a hold of my hair, I am reminded of her strong fingers!
Sorraya enjoys baths for the most part. She can get pretty wild moving around in the water. She tries to eat the water when it runs over her from the washcloth.
Feeding time is business time. She doesn't mess around and gets right to it. She eats ever 2-3 hours during the day. Sometimes longer depending on a long nap here and there. But at night she eats once or not at all.
The fussy times that she use to have around 6-9 at night have decreased and she has improved much. Some nights it can still be a fussy time, but hasn't been as bad as it was for about 3 weeks for a while now.
Sorraya is a champ at sleeping. It has been such a treat. She has graduated out of our room and is now across the hall from us and Ryken is down in the basement in his big boy bed. Sorraya is out of the bouncer as well. She is doing great at sleeping flat on her back. She still always wakes up with spit up on either or one side of her. She has been doing so well at falling asleep on her own. We rock her a little bit and get her eyes to be heavy and then lay her down and she does the rest. That is also a treat for us. She reacts to the sound of the noise maker immediately. She usually has 3 big naps during the day.  One around 10am, 1pm and 4-5pm. She naps and snacks from 7-9 here and there most nights, filling up for the long haul. She goes to bed for good around 9pm and then usually gets up once around 5-6am and then sleeps till 8:00am-8:30am. A few nights, she has slept from about 9pm to 8:30am. It seemed unreal, but we didn't complain! :)
She weighs 10 lbs 6 oz and is 23 inches long!

Sorraya is such a relaxed baby and gosh do we love her to pieces. We love her more and more with each passing month as she grows and develops into who God has created her to be!
