Chris took Friday off and we were on the road by 9:00am.
Here is downtown Minneapolis.
We passed the Viking stadium.
We wanted Chick-fil-a, so we found one. It took us a while to find it because of construction and having to walk to it because it was on the bottom floor of the Student Union on the University of Minnesota campus. You could tell there weren't very many babies on campus. We got lots of looks.
We ate our yummy Chickf-fil-a with all the college students!
We walked around the U of M.
We walked over a bridge that went across the Mississippi River.
There was a big tree with TONS of shoes in it!
Ryken liked all the buttons in the elevator.
We got checked into our hotel in Minnetonka. It was super nice! It was a great deal!
Ryken was so happy to be out of the car!
Let him burn off some energy before we were back in the car.
Went to the Mall of America.
We waked around all three levels. It was nice!
We went to the Lego Store.
Ryken will most likely like Legos one day!
Chris liked looking at them all again.
Us in front of the Lego wall.
These were some of the Lego sculptures.
This one was huge!
We went into a hot sauce store.
Chris enjoyed looking at everything.
We left the mall and got take out from Pei Wei and ate it back at the hotel.
It was so yummy.
Saturday Breakfast on the bathroom counter!
There was no microwave in our room or in any of the common areas, so this was our heat source to warm Ryken's food. It worked quiet well!
Ryken entertained himself while he waited!
We went to REI and walked/looked around!
We went to Sonic for lunch!
My craving for a Strawberry Limeade was quenched. YUMMY!
We went to this State Park looking for a bathroom, turned out it was a very nice little park!
And no bathroom was opened.
Looking at the big shells in the water.
Crawling all over.
Pretty sunset!
We also walked along the St. Croix River.
There was a lift bridge that went across, but it was being reparied .
The geese are back and beautiful!
Pretty huh?
Went to Trader Joe's, so Chris could check it out!
We got some cinnamon almonds, dried banana chips, dried cherries and thai lime and chili cashews.
We picked up some Bagels for Sunday morning!
We went to Providence Reformed Baptist Church.
It was a nice time. We will be back whenever we are in Minneapolis.
We got some yummy Fuddruckers for lunch before we headed home.
Ryken sitting in the big boy highchair.
We came home to a white Fargo.
It snowed about an inch to an inch and a half over the weekend.
We had a wonderful time! Thankful for the time together!
All were ready to be back in our own beds!

Looks like a splendid time! :) The scenery pictures are beautiful. I wouldn't mind going to Minnesota some day. Glad you had a good time and hope you guys get to have many more wonderful weekend getaways!
