Looks like just a big box to you right?
Well...So I thought too!
Then I opened it up and realized that it was a surprise baby shower in a box from my old church, Grace Covenant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They literally met last Saturday, February 11th in the morning and there were snacks and gifts were brought...and it was all for our little family and we weren't even there!! They packed up everything and sent it to us. I was so touched!
The ladies were given a number and when their number was called they were to go to the gift table and pick a present that was brought, that was not the one that they brought and once all the gifts were in someones hand, the numbers started over and each person opened the gift and said who it was from as my good friend Allison video taped the whole thing. It was such a clever idea! It was so nice seeing all the ladies faces that I haven't seen in a while and some of the kids that are getting so big now too! :)
Here is a balloon and the napkins that were at the shower! The food table looked so yummy!
Got some more books! They look so cute! Can't wait to read them to the little peanut! :)
Got some needed diapers and burp clothes. Also, a 2 pack of mattress pads!
Some personal items. Some ear warmers, lotion and a little sneaker key shoe.
A beautifully hand made blanket from Allison! Bright colors, just like R.C.'s room! I love it. He will love it! It will be one of his favorite blankets! :) She also made a cute little burp clothe!
A little blanket with animals on it and a little cuddle dog/blanket! So soft and cuddly!
Got the comfy and colorful shopping cart cover!
We got the Eric Carle Very Hungry Caterpillar wall decals for his room, a cute little frame that says Mr. Cute, and then an Eric Carle Growth Chart! All so fun!
All the little accessories! 3 beanies...one hand made by one of the younger girls, some socks, no scratch mittens, sunglasses and the cutest little slippers....which remind me of Chris' slippers...that we call moccasins! Like Father, like Son!
He got some Christmas things too! A stocking, socks and two outfits!
A few toys! A bath tub splash set, a rubber ducky, teether, photo book and an activity mat.
And of course there is always going to be clothes to share! :)
Some cute little gowns that say "little peanut" on them and some comfy little all body suits!
Little shirt and a little summer outfit with cars on it!
Prince Charming Pj's and a soft little outfit with matching bib!
Just adorable! :)
More cute little clothes, I can't wait to see him in!
Some jean jackets for when he is older and a camo hat.
Overalls! :)
And some other little outfits!
There were cards yet to be opened as well and we received many gift cards, checks and money! It was all such a blessing! I was touched that all the Grace Covenant Women went to all that trouble to bless us...but we sure felt the love flooding out of that filled to the brim box! There were more tears on my part, just overwhelmed with love and gratitude from all the people in Arizona who wanted to shower us with the love, gifts and taking time away from their families to bless ours!
Truly was a complete surprise and an even bigger blessing!
Ally, I'm so glad you were blessed to tears. The Flin's have always been a vital part of Grace Covenant. It was an honor to be a part of your journey in your pregnancy. We miss you so much.
