Avonlea: 8 months

Avonlea is EIGHT months!!
June 30, 2019

Avonlea girl is _lbs and 26inches long. She is wearing 6-9months clothes, size 3 diapers, she has blue eyes and 2 teeth.

Oh Avonlea girl is a breath of fresh air!! She is such a sweetie and so much spunk and personality. She loves to smile and move all the time. She loves the bath. She loves to watch and be around her brothers and sister. She loves people and to watch them. She loves music and often bounces to the beat. She loves to sit up these days and plays with toys quite well in front on her. She enjoys the stroller and sitting the highchair. She will screech happy noises often, just out of the blue. She is a chatter box and its fun to hear. She loves to chew on anything and everything and usually talks while doing it. She rolls all over the place, and pushes herself up with her arms, but isn't moving much toward crawling. She is happy with sitting, so I have to remember to have her be on her tummy still.

Avonlea continues to enjoy food. She is enjoying in all the new flavors. She has tried many and there are many that are a favorite. Mango's, sweet potato, squash, apple, prunes, pears, blueberries...combos of many of these. She has a wide pallet and we are thankful. She eat solids about 3 times a day and drink a bottle 3-4 times a day. She does not like to eat right a way in the morning. When she eats solids, she likes to suck her thumb in-between bites and thankfully it isn't a battle to get her thumb out for another bite. It cracks me up. She does not like her face cleaned off after eating. She eats 2-4oz of food at any one time. She enjoys the bottle and drinks it good. She gets excited about it when she sees it. She puts her hands up over eyes when she is tried and has a bottle. It is a sweet little thing she does now!
We still have bags and bags in the freezer, so we use breastmilk while we are home and use formula while we are out and about. She take both great. She drinks around 6-8oz each time.
I am done pumping as of today (June 30).
8 months and we are done. It is freeing and I am thankful for the ease of it all, even though it took longer than I had hopped. But I was able to stop with no infections. Very thankful to God for His help, wisdom and kindness.

Sleeping has never been so enjoyable with a baby. Avonlea continues to do so well. She goes down around 9pm and will wake up once usually around 2-4am and has a bottle and then goes back to bed till around 8-9am. We all love going in and seeing her when she is up. So happy. Full of smiles. Wiggels around like a crazy worm with excitement when she sees us. Her whole body is involved. She happily rolls around in her crib and chatters when she waits for us to get her. She sleeps on her belly with her hands tucked under her body. She goes down nicely and sleeps for an hour to 2.5 hrs for nap. She has a late morning nap and a late afternoon nap. She sleeps great in the pack n play at church or other people's houses too. So very thankful. She will fall asleep in the carseat as well.

She is such a sweet and mostly content baby girl. We are so thankful for the joy and love she has brought to our house!!
