January 22, 2018
This about sums up our Sorraya girl being four.
F- flourish, friendly fun
O- outgoing, ornery
U- upbeat, useful
R- rascal, rare, refreshing
She continues to have quite the personality and you just never know what she will do next.
Sorraya is 32 lbs and is 3 ft 3 inches tall. She sleeps on the bottom bunk bed and shares a room with Ryken. She is hit or miss with taking naps. She may or may not, but she lets me know. When she doesn't, she has quite time and plays by herself for the first part and then plays with Ryken the other half. She wakes up between 7-8am and is ready for breakfast immediately. Sorraya and the boys play a lot of the day. They come up with all sorts of fun things that amaze me. She is a little monkey and climber. She is not gentle with things and often breaks things. She often has a rats nest on the back fo her head. She enjoys playing on her iPad and doing school with Ryken. She enjoys going places and is so very friendly. She is a magnet to finding loose change on the ground at stores. She talks a lot and loves to sing. She is Daddies little girl. She is quite a thinker and can re tell things very well and asks some thoughtful questions. She is adventous and likes to try new things. She is usually very quick to be thankful. She has been working hard on learning catechism and the 10 commandments. She is quite thoughtful and giving. But she also can be so nasty in her speech and how she responds to others - especially of her brothers. She is a putz and often is not obeying but doing other things first. When she gets really worked up she will go into hyperventilating breathing and she has a hard time calming down. She struggle with asking before she touches. She has grown much and has learned a lot this year. We love her and her brothers do too.
Sorraya likes a lot of things and it is no guess as to when she does. She loves gum, but often gets it taken away for weeks at time because she plays with it to puts it on the carpet instead of in a trash can with a bag in it...but when she is able to have it, she loves it. She enjoyed chapstick and having ice in her water cup and helping with it. She loves to sing the songs she does know or songs she makes up. She loves playing with her brothers or friends. She loves welcoming her Daddy home. She loves going to Maplewood and throwing rocks in the water. Loves going to Buffalo River to swim. Loves the splash pad. She loves exploring and collecting things. She loves music and dancing. She loves parades and fireworks. She loves getting her nails painted. She loves it when Daddy brushed her hair and when she gets to wear Mommy's perfume. Loves going to the park, playing with chalk, riding her bike, kicking soccer balls around outside, swinging on swings, swimming in water with the puddle jumper, going down the slip n slide. She loves bubble wrap, cardboard boxes and sticks. She loves to eat snow, play in the snow, and sled. She loves olive (5 for each finger), pickles, yogurt, kefir, smoothies, pizza, mac and cheese, any kind of fruit (kiwi's are a favorite right now). She loves popsicles, mints, lollipops....anything sweet. She loves to snuggle with her dad. She loves going on errands just with daddy or just with mommy. She loves babies and often asks to hold them and cares for them tenderly. She loves taking showers and can dry off on her own. She loves sitting on people's laps. She loves playing dress up and wearing her princess dresses. She loves to draw, write, cut paper, use stickers, and play with play dough. She loves playing with balloons! She loves the movie Cinderella (the new one) and Paw Patrol most of all. She loves having a Christmas tree so much she cried when we took it outside. She enjoys building at Home Depot. She enjoys going to the library and has been liking the audio follow along books. She loves to wear skirts and dresses. She has favorite outfits and love wearing her church coat on Sunday. She loves Fellowship meal Sunday's. She loves having her hair braided.
New things Raya got to do this year were go to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, pick peaches, go in a city bus at the Library, and riding on the ferris wheel at Scheels.
We are so thankful for who God has created Raya to be. We are thankful for what she has learned new this year and what she has taught us also. She is a joy and such a delight to be around. Full of life, love and personality. Excited to see how the Lord will grow her and use her to bless so many in the coming year.
