Day 2 Day Joys: Nov 29-Dec 5

Week of November 29

Sunday Best!!
Sweet gir napping!
We started a new tradition this year, with a Names of God tree!
This tree was a garage sale find this summer and it was perfect to add all the names of God to it.
Since these pictures were taken, lights were added and it was moved down to our living room as our tree for the year, since we will be away in AZ for a week and any live tree that we would have gotten would be dead once we got back...didn't seem like we should spend the money on one! :)
Name on one side and Bible verse(s) on the back!
My sweet friend Heather remembered my collection of sand and brought some home for me all on her own! :)
I was making chex mix and this silly girl was so entertained by this box of butter sticks! :)
Oh the little things!
We got a little bit more dusting of snow and the kids and I went out in it for a little bit! They were thrilled!
This sweet girl has been so attached to daddy lately! This night we pulled her seat over to him while she ate her snack and she just wanted to hold his hand!! :)
She has been loving the bunny ears too!! :)
Tuesday morning we woke up to lots of SNOW!!!!
Thankfully all the snow did not cancel the Christmas Brunch at Exhale that morning!
Table set!
Hot Breakfast made!
Plate and belly full and happy!
There was a special video played by Joy Forney called The Cross and Mothering and we did a white elephant exchange with a variety of different kinds of pitchers!
The theme was we need to be filled up with Jesus before we can pour out to our family and friends!
Really nice morning!
With all that snow...we had to play out in it since it was so nice out that we weren't all freezing!! What a wonderful time it was...for all of us!!! More pictures in other post.
Someone is loving the lights! :)
This girl cracks us up, she just sits on this penguin and bounces! It kinds lunges her forward too, so she gets a fun ride out of it!:)
6th floor view while waiting for mom's OB appointment!!!
With fresh snow it was extra pretty!
He has been doing so well with zipping his zipper!!
Getting so big!
This little lady has been obsessed with being in big brothers seat and buckling herself in. She will do on side and yell "I did it!" and then she will do the other side and with just as much enthusiasm yell the same thing! :) All she needs me to do is keep unbuckling it so she can keep doing it. She was in that chair for at least 45 minutes one day doing it over and over!
Friday was Reindeer Day in Fargo!
Downtown there was a reindeer for all to see and the shops that brought the reindeer had sales going on!
It was neat to see!!
We didn't stay very long as it was cold and windy! But we got to see it moving around like crazy, got a free candy cane and a picture together! Well worth it!
We don't get downtown too much in the winter, so it was so nice to see all the downtown decorates that were around! And then we happened to be right by the Fargo theater, so it made for a neat picture! :)
Friday, Ryken asked if he could have a sleep over with Sorraya again tonight.
We hadn't for a while due to Raya getting up a lot at night and that would be disruptive for Ryken!
But we decided to let them.
And when talking about it Ryken said that if Raya woke up in the middle of the night and woke him up he would.... I thought he was going to "I will just come into your room." cause we usually would just drag his bed into our room so she wouldn't interrupt his sleep anymore. BUT, instead he said, "If Raya wakes up in the middle of the night and wakes me up I will just go over and kiss her head and say it's ok Raya, there's nothing to be afraid of." It was the sweetest thing!!
Their relationship has really grown into something beautiful in the last 2-3 months, and Chris and I are so thankful!
So they had a sleep over and did great! Raya woke up once, and Ryken didn't seem to be bothered. We think Ryken just likes the company!
Ryken was thrillled to have lights up in his room! :) He loves to nap with them on!
Watching daddy shovel what was left of the snow on our driveway. On Saturday it was warm enough to melt a bit, so we took advantage to get what was left off. A clean driveway is just a rewarding feeling! :) haha!
The kids were watching and at one point, Chris started throwing chunks of snow at the window and the kids went crazy! They loved it and kept yelling for him to do it again!
Went out to pizza and then on to Scheels! Always a blast!
All the kids playing with the train! :)
Always a request to see and play with the balls!
Ryken wanted to ride the Farris Wheel with daddy after some prompting!
We got our tokens FREE! yay!
 Ready to go!
This poor little thing is stuck on Daddy- she cried the whole time, thinking he was never coming back! Each time they would circle around and leave her, she would start up strong again! It was so sad ...but sweet that she loves her daddy just so much! :)
Selfies up at the top! Way to go Dad! You knew mom would liked a picture of your special time together! :)

Celebrating the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!!

  1. What a fun little sleepover! And what a sweet thing for you to hear from Ryken. It would melt any momma's heart.

  2. Ahh! That is so sweet of Ryken to be willing to protect and comfort his sister. And so sweet the daddy daughter relationship developing between Christ and Raya. Something about that is just so special. And great selfie on the Ferris Wheel!
