Day 2 Day Joys: Apr 5-11

Week of April 5
Easter Morning some of the Deacons and Elders helped make and serve breakfast for Community Baptist.
The men were wearing the aprons from the church kitchen...which were the ones the ladies wear usually!! :)
French Toast, Biscuits and Gravy, sausage links and fruit was on the menu!!
It was a nice turn out and went smoothly!
Family Picture!
So a new ministry opportunity has come up for our church to be apart of!
The is a small church in Valley City, ND (1 hour from Fargo) that the pastor contacted Pastor Doug about helping them out. The Pastor is dying of cancer and he was looking for help for his congregation. There is only 3-4 people who come regularly and one of those is his wife. So very small group, but that shouldn't stop the word of God being preached.
Chris and another man are trading off preaching there each week. They only have one service which is at 6pm in the evenings. Other people from our church go with the one who is preaching to help support as well. There is hope of an intern coming in to preach during the summer months!
We are thankful for this ministry opportunity as a family as well as a church family! We pray the Lord blesses this little church in a great way!
Please pray for Valley Baptist Church if you think of it!
Sorraya was very much interested into the newest member of CBC, Hunter, just a week old. She was rocking his seat and getting in his face and talking to him! It was sweet to watch her so into the baby! We hope the Lord will bless our family in His timing and make her a big sister!! The nurturing that already is seen from her is so neat to witness!
We got the enjoy the beautiful tulips from the Easter Breakfast all week!! There is just something about fresh flowers!! Love them!
On Tuesday, we had Exhale and my group was serving in Child Care today. I was assigned to Ryken's room, which he thought was so neat that mommy was going to be in with him and his friends!
I was happy to be in there to see what he gets to do each time we meet. His teacher that volunteer each week, Miss Sandy, is such a sweetheart. I asked if she had a teaching degree and she said no. I was shocked, because she did so much that reminded me of what I learned in college! She was intentional about the time she had with the kids!
Ryken loves to watch out the window and wait for daddy to come home from work. Although, today he was up there looking and waiting for him at about 4pm - where Chris doesn't come home until 5:30-6:00! She was so funny. He would come down and tell me what he was seeing and then he would say "Oh, I better go back and wait for Daddy!"
Pictures with my baby girl!!
Our good friend Ellen was in Germeny for 2 weeks and she came home this week. We didn't quite make it to the airport to welcome her home (the timing didn't work out), but we made signs and sent this picture to the lady who was picking her up and she showed it to her!!
Brushing teeth together!!!
She's pretty good at pulling Kleenex's out!!
Snuggled up and watching a race car video with Daddy!
Ryken's new ball and bat he was so excited to use!!
It will take some time to learn, but he did pretty good for the first time practicing!
Raya was enjoying watching while drinking her water!
He does such a good job with throwing the frisbee too!!
We brought yet another new stick home with us as well!!
Watching the neighbor boys make their remote control cars go over ramps! He came inside after a bit of watching them and then went up stairs and watched out the window! haha!
Sorraya is our climber!! She finds her way up and is so pleased! Dad's a pretty good spot!
One day after naps, both kids sat on my lap for a good period of time! It was a nice time snuggling them both which doesn't happen hardly ever!
Arsenal game on Saturday morning so we all put our Arsenal gear on and cheered them on with Daddy!!
Hard to believe this happened! Such a sleepy girl!!
We went to the bridge over the interstate after naps! We have been wanting to go altogether for a while now! It seemed like a good day for it! Sunny and warm!!
He was so thrilled!
We waved a lot and had tons of honks and waves back! Even some big semi trucks honked their big horns! It was a lot of fun!
What a fun memory!

Celebrating the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary!
