Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

We have had 3 meetings about the house so far, and choosing all sort of things has begun.

The first meeting we finalized our blue prints and picked out exterior.

Here is a small idea of what it will look like.

The front of our house will have vertical siding that will be the green you see at the top left. The brick at the bottom will be just on either side of the garage in the front of the house, just up 3 feet or so.

The trim I didn't get in a picture, but it will be a dark brown.

The other paint strip of color, the light tan, is what the rest of the house will be. So the sides and back will be the light tan color and will be horizontal siding. 

The little circle will be our garage door...which is basically the same color as the light siding on the sides and back.

We were very happy with how things pulled together to color coordinate.

The lady that helped us, Angie, she was a huge help as she gave many suggestions. 

 We will be using the top knob for all the doors inside and then the front door will have the big lock and handle that is on the right.

 The second meeting we had, was just on Friday as we got back from vacation.

We met with Angie again at the store Floor to Ceiling.

This first picture is our laminate "wood" floor on the top right of the picture.

Next down, is the counter top, which is a grayish... the next picture down you can see it more true to color.

Then lastly is our cabinets! They are a dark coco and this is what we saw in the model home and really liked it alot.

 So here we have the counter top on the left and the cabinet on the left.

The bottom is our carpet.

Once again, Angie helped so much and we were thankful to be working with someone who has had such experience. She has been doing work like this for about 20 years.

We picked many other things that day, but this is all I took pictures of.

Then Saturday, yesterday, we had another appointment with a lady named Alicia, to pick appliances, lighting and plumbing.

We liked most of the standard things, but there were a few things that we changed.

We are very happy with our appliance package.

We picked all the lights for around the house, outside and inside. We added some lights over the island in the kitchen and we added ceiling fans (and we actually got the same ones that are at my parents house that we have always liked how much air they move around, so we are happy that we know what we are getting with the fans...very pleased). We picked all the sink fixtures for the bathroom and kitchen. Got to see our toilet and shower. 

It is so fun to have picked so many things and then try and picture it in your head.

We hope it looks even better than we think it does.

That is the last appointment that we have till our electrical walk through is June 25, this is where we will finalize all the interior selections that we have just made in the last two days. Then once that is done, construction can begin! :)
