Avonlea Michelle is THREE!!
She is a little spit fire and joy all mixed in one.
Avonlea is 27.8 lbs and 35"+ a tish inches tall. She wears mainly 3T clothes and size 6-7 shoe.
Avonlea is a little mix of Raya and Drayden's personality (most obviously) and then her own. She is stubborn and she a goof. She is a sweet, cuddly little girl and she can be sour as well. She has a great imagination and currently loves her little kitty and her baby doll. She is a little mama to them and it is fun to watch. She takes the hand towels from the kitchen and makes a bed for them on the floor or on the stairs. She give them food and puts them to bed and tells us to be quiet because the baby or cat is sleeping. She is a little chatter box and can speak very well and is not afraid to tell others things. She loves to sing - we hear her singing often. She also has done fabulous at memorizing the Psalm of the month with the family each month. It has been so fun to see her little mouth sing each word of each verse. She has 10 catechism questions memorized and she will say part of the older kids as well. She is doing well on her colors and can count to a good number. She loves to color, water color, and play with play dough. We recently got a piano and she enjoys playing on that and thankfully she doesn't just bang on it. She loves being outside with the kids and neighbor kids. She enjoys running around with them, playing their games, jumping on the trampoline, drawing with chalk, talking walks and tumbling on the gymnastics mat. When we are outside and she sees someone walking their dog, she asks to pet them. She loves the neighbor dog Boomer. She is a dare devil at the park and climbs on most things. She loves the swings. She has enjoyed being in the pool or river this summer. She was a little too confident by the water for this mama's sake - but also thankful she could enjoy it. She loves her nails painted, but then also she picks off her thumb nail so she doesn't taste it when she sucks her thumb. haha. She loves being in the kitchen when I am making things. She will ask to help often. She will often be found just looking at books. She enjoys going to the library and looking at all the books and putting some in her Octopus library bag.
She wakes up with the sweetest little knock on her door anywhere from 7:30-8:30am. She is ready for breakfast right aways ususally. She takes one nap in the afternoon around 2:30 and sleeps for 1.5-2 hours. She goes to bed with the other kids around 10pm. She often needs at least one thing before she falls asleep - whether it is a drink, go to the bathroom or rock in the chair. She is very routine in a lot of things. She says the similar things when we close the door - "When I wake up, can I have a jelly bean/gummy bear?" or "When i wake up, can I have breakfast/biscuits/?" When we are about the close the door, she says "Good Night, Sleep Well, Love you, See you in the morning!" She will wake up in the middle of the night a handful times, not ever night, but some.
Avonlea is a fairly good eater- depending on what it is and what time of the day. She is often ready to go and help herself to any meal of the day, but it usually isn't a good choice. She eats fairly well most the time, but then there are other times when she needs to be spoon fed to eat it. Or if it is on daddy's plate, she will come and eat it well off his plate, even when it is just what was on her plate that she didn't want. She loves snack time and any dessert that is offered to her. She has breakfast, lunch, one snack at 4pm and dinner. She has lots of favorites and likes a wide variety of food. We are thankful.
We have been working on potty training. This is our second go around. We tried back in May and then we stopped. We started again in September and she has improved in some areas. She will go consistently if i put her on the potty. She has gone number 2 a fair amount too - but the timing happens to be perfect, because she doesn't tell me. She will keep her pants dry during nap and night often. She is hard to figure out. She does not tell me she has to go unless she has already been put to bed at night or during church. :) But I will take it. It has been harder for me to be consistent with her training, but I am also thankful that the Lord has given me a mind of peace about it. We will get there- it is just taking longer and starting later than the other three kiddos.
She sure is fun and makes us laugh. Her personality is a big one - but mostly lovable.
