Drayden: FOUR Years Old

Drayden is FOUR
March 1, 2020

He is 32lbs and 34" tall. He wears 3T-4T in clothes and a 10 in shoes.
Its hard to believe that this little healthy boy was in the hospital for 8 weeks right from the get go. He continues to have no problems and is in great health and even greater personality. He is affectionate to say the least. He makes anyone feel loved and cared for. He comes and hugs, sits, touches, kisses or anything close to you. He continues to have the sweetest and most contagious laugh of all little boys. His smiles (with dimples) is a day brightener for sure. We thank God for our Drayden.
He is a always reading for a good time and the next things. He loves to do what his brother and sister do and he copies them a lot. He comes up bright and cheery in the morning. He likes having a job to do around the house and does it with joy and to the best of his ability. He does a good job at bringing his lardy up and washing it and then putting it away when it is clean. It is hard to hang the shirts and flip the socks together, but he has worked hard and improved so much. He makes his bed like a champ now too. He had just learned how to buckle his seat and that was exciting. Ryken helps unbuckle him when we get out, since he is on the side opposite of my door. I love to see what he will be wearing in the morning. He gets dressed by himself and sometimes he is wearing red pants and a red shirt, and other times he is wearing his shirt inside out or his pants inside out and the pockets are flopping around. He loves wearing socks and seems to always have them on. He often wears his shoes on the wrong feet, but sometimes he does get it right. I think it is great that is doesn't bother him. I know he will get it figured out soon. He loves doing activities when the other kids are doing school. He likes the water wows. He likes to do whatever the other kids are doing. He enjoyed doing crafts at crafternoons and usually is the first one done. He has really enjoyed coloring more and has started taking more time and really drawing pictures. He is always making a picture for someone. My favorites are the ones "for the whole family". He loves FaceTiming with Grandpa and Grandma. He got a big boy cup this year and he was pretty excited about that. He loves to snuggle with anyone and everyone willing. Her is growing up so much. He has been learning the catechism with the big kids and is doing great. Keeping right up with them. As he is learning the Psalms too and he will sing them on his own. The Psalms of the month at church have really helped with that. Everything excites him and he is thankful for most things. He is often one of the ones first to be thankful for something and say it. He has learned how to play several games with us and really likes those. He loves to ride his red bike and we hope he will try the strider bike more this summer. He loves playing on the playlet with the kids out back. He is always on the swings. Sometimes he doesn't stop talking and we have to remind him that he doesn't always have to be talking.
It can be hard for him to sit still and not be silly. He doesn't like to get into trouble and he will often be overdramatic and say "You guys hate me." We assure him we love him. He is very sensitive when it comes to discipline, but is quick to give a hug in the end. He can sometimes be very annoying to Avonlea and just be in her face or in her way and she just has enough of it to screeches at him.

He is a good sleeper. Usually the last one up and wakes up happy. He sleeps in the toddler bed with the other kids and does great. Sometimes we find him sleeping silly, and even once he was on the floor and didn't realize it. He is a hard sleeper. Her rarely takes naps. Pretty much only if he is sick. He will even say he is ready for bed sometimes.

Drayden love to eat. And boy is the amount that he is eating increasing. He enjoys most things and is not too picky of an eater. He loves energy bites. He is a thankful boy for his meals too. He enjoys milk and orange juice as well. Treats are always special and something they all look forward to.

We are thankful for our Drayden and it is fun to see how he has changed in a year and we know the Lord will grow him and teach him all the more this year. Excited to see what the Lord will use him for.
