We took a short trip to Minneapolis for some fun the last weekend of July!
We are all packed up and ready to go with bacon in hand! :)
Someone was happy to be out of the carseat!!!
They all were actually!
We stayed at the hotel connected to the waterpark we came to enjoy!
The kids loved the hotel and were just giddy about everything. The light switches, the beds, the view out the window, the TV, the bathroom...every little thing!! It was fun to see their joy!
We got changed and went straight to the waterpark.
It took a little while for the kids to get warmed up to the slides and all, but soon, we were on repeat going down the same slides. Drayden was such a champ and just held on to us and went down some of the smaller slides in our arms. He didn't complain once with being cold, water in his face or being tired! We were so thankful, as that made it that much more enjoyable!
There were some places we hoped to eat at while we were there and one of them was Pei Wei.
We found one and enjoyed the meal outside on the beautiful evening!
The night sleep went far better than we expected it to in a hotel room. We were so thankful! I was up to feed Drayden at once point and peaked out the window to see the day starting with a beautiful sunrise!
There was a room of bunkbeds for the kids. It did not have a door...but it was closed off from our bed, so it work perfectly. Raya fell out once, but other than that, they did great.
We brought Drayen's seat and he slept fantastic in that for us!
GOOD Morning!
We packed up and put our stuff in the van and then went to the waterpark one more time!
View rom the interstate!
I had to feed Drayden right away, so Dad and Ryken went on the lazy river.
Raya hung out with me until Drayden was done! So much to watch!
This is where we spent most our time...in the kid pool!
This slide was the biggest hit and was used the majority of the time!
So many smiles...Ryken had a blast!! He got brave and went down some of the slightly larger and curvy slides by himself. It was so fun to see!
Once we got dried off, we headed over to the Mall of America where the Sea Life Aquarium was.
We enjoyed all the different things to look at and touch!
The majority of the time was spent in the shark walk thru tunnels. SO much to see and not things you see every day!
Sitting and watching the turtles!
We like making the souvenir pennies from our trip!
We stopped by the Lego store as well in the Mall!
I had to get a picture of Ryken on this lego block, because we have one when he was about 9 months old from the last time we came!
The kids have been so into fire hydrants right now, just seemed fitting to get a picture to remember the stage! And there was a new kind we had never seen in Minneapolis!
Taking in the view!
After lunch from Chick-fil-a, the other place we wanted to eat, we headed home and enjoy the beautiful drive in Minnesota!
Raya and Drayden napped
while Ryken played on the iPad and watched a show or two!
We made it home Saturday as the sun was setting!
It was a quick trip, but it was a fun trip and we for sure will be back to the waterpark sometime in the near future!!
Thankful for the time and the memories made!
