Sorraya: 4 Months

Four months of loving this little girl!

Sorraya is such a good natured little lady! She usually is very content and easy to please!
She seems to be even more laid back than the prior months. She enjoys watching her wild brother run around the house. She likes when he comes and talks, sings, and plays the hermonica. She pretty much only cries when she is tried, hungry or scared.
She is getting more and more talkative these days. She will have a conversation with you, or just by herself. Sometimes it will be calm and steady and other times it will be loud and unpredictable. It is so fun to hear her chatting away.

She is a wiggle worm. Hardly sits still. She is getting stronger and stronger at holding her head up and for longer periods of time. She still rolls over, but seems to have 'forgotten' that she can roll back. She will surprise herself ever now and then when she does end up pushing herself over. Because of her rolling over, we had to bring out a bigger blanket for her to lay on and roll around on, because she was rolling off the little play gym mat onto the hard floor. She loves to sit in the bouncer and just kick away. She will twist and turn in it as well. She loves to have a blankets or burp rags up by her mouth. She gets her hands under it and cuddles it by her face and 'eats' and plays with it. She will often kick off the blanket if it is over her feet. She seems to enjoy having her feet touch together. She will often rub them together, making it near impossible to keep socks on her. I will often find her staring at her hands. She seems to find them fasinating! When she is laying on her back, she will arch her head back so far, it looks uncomfortable, but she enjoys watching things around her like that. Her little body looks like a backwards S when she does that. She is easily ticklish. Her neck and her belly are the most. She will give a sweet little laugh. She loves to interact with people. She may hear your voice, but she often waits to smile until she see's your face. She will just give the biggest gummy smiles and coo when people talk to her. She likes to look outward when being held, likes to see what is going on around her. In public, she is generous with smiles and brightens many people's days.

She is such a good little sleeper. She takes 3-4 naps a day and they are pretty predictable when she will want them if we are home. When we are out and about she will fall asleep in the car sometimes before or after her "normal" times. She is still swaddled when she sleeps. She has been escaping arms from the swaddle these days. We will often find her with a little hand sticking out of the top of the swaddle and she will be sucking on it. She sure does love to suck on those little fingers. She does great at night. Goes to bed around 9 and sleeps anywhere from 7:30-9:30am. She will occasionally wake up once during that time. Usually around 5-6am and then sleep a little longer. We still can't believe what a good sleeper she is! But we aren't complaining.

Eating has never been a problem for her. She goes every 2-3 hours during the day or so. Cluster feeds between 7-9pm to fill up before the long nights sleep. She drank breast milk from a bottle for the first time this month and had no problems at all. Downed it.

She weighs 11 lb on the dot and is 23.5 inches long.

I don't know how many times a day I say "Oh, you are the sweetest thing!"
We love her to pieces and are so thankful for her being apart of our family and lives!

  1. She sleeps better than Kade! ;) It's crazy how it differs child to child. She sounds like Blake with being a great eater/sleeper from the start!

And she IS soooo precious! I just can't believe how much she changes month to month. Love seeing these pictures!
