Swim Lessons #1

Today we had our first of five swim lessons!

Ryken in his suit reading to go...and excited!!!

This was our nice instructor, Carrie! 

We learned how to get into the pool with our babies.

They had some toys for them to play with.

We sang some songs and did some motions with them. Like for the song wheels on the bus, when we sang "go round and round, round and round", we would make the babies bodies go around in a circle in the water. 

We walked lengths of the pool with them.

Rested their heads on our shoulders to get the feeling of laying on their backs in the water.

We held them on their stomach.

Of course they splashed and gave a few kicks.

We sang a few more songs.

Showed them how to blow bubbles in the water.

Both boys were very relaxed and had a good time.

There was one other mommy and baby with us too. She had already left before the picture. 

Her boy was a little older than ours and was ready to go on his own! :)

We were thankful that the first experience was a good one for both the boys.

What we still have to get down is how to get the boys into the Y warm, dressed and us dressed and still be on time for our lesson! :)

It was quite comical actually!

We had a blast and look forward to next lesson on Monday!
