4 Months

Ryken is 4 months old today. He has his 4 month check up tomorrow. So we will be able to see how big and long he is getting! 

He likes to tense all his muscles at once. This was a good opportunity to see how long he is getting.

Such a sweet boy!

Ryken weighed 13 lbs 13 oz and  23 inches long at his 4 month checkup. He looks healthy. He is quite the character these days! Still likes to eat a lot, and I love breastfeeding! He sucks his index and middle finger quite often, or his whole fist occasionally. He drools a ton, and blows bubbles consistently. He enjoys his car seat so much more now. He understands that its you looking back at him in his mirror in the car, which has been so much fun! He is such a good grocery shopper these days. He went on his first long road trip to Saskatchewan, Canada and did great! He likes his smaller stroller that we got for our Canada trip much better than the other one. He loves to watch people eat now. He "talks" up a storm. He smiles tons. He loves to stand with assistance. He tenses all his muscles in his body several times a day, just for fun. He likes you blowing air in his face. He loves looking in the mirror. He can roll over from tummy to back and can roll over from back to tummy, but just can't get his arm out from underneath him. He loves to flop his body back and forth, back and forth. He will just sit propped up on his side. He loves to watch the movements on the TV if it is on. He scoots around in circles a lot. His fine motor skills are developing, he is getting much better at grasping and holding onto things. We gave him some rice cereal, he didn't hate it or love it. Ryken turns over on his side/tummy when he sleeps unswaddled now. He still loves baths and the changing table. He recognizes people when we Skype. He has found and plays with his toes now. He is starting to really laugh. He likes flying in the air, as well as going upside down.
