Ryken is growing so big.
He had a check up today and he is 11 lb 6 oz and 21.25 inches long. Dr said all looks good and he is perfect!

He is 11 lbs 6 oz and 21.25 inches long and as healthy as can be! Praise God for healthy babies! Thankful! Ryken sleeps 4-6 hour stretches at first. Then 2-3 hour blocks after that. He now takes better naps. We swaddle him, or use his new swaddle strap and put him in his swing. His longest nap has been 2 1/2 hours. Ryken is the happiest in the morning it seems, he just loves to play on his floor mat. He now moves himself sideways on the mat. :) He likes to lean on our thighs propped up and watch you as you make faces or just talk to him. You get the biggest smiles by doing that! :) He still loves his changing table, his baths and being naked! :) Ryken still does not care for his car seat very much, some days are better than others. He no longer screams every time when he wants food and he is gradually going longer in between feedings! He looks at me a lot more when he nurses as well too, which is so sweet to see those little eyes looking back at me! When being held, he rarely likes to just be sitting there or held - he loves the movement, so you are either rocking, bouncing or swinging him about. He really like the Baby Bjorn carrier. He is starting to make more noises. He will "talk" back to you when you talk to him - especially on his changing table or when he is propped up on your thighs. He had a clogged tear duct this month, but after about a week it got better! :) We thought he was getting a tooth, still not 100% sure. We see a little white spot and he was more crabby over a few days, but after 2 weeks the white spot hasn't grown, so probably not a tooth! ha! :) Ryken goes to bed much easier these days! We are thankful. He gets a bath pretty much every night. After baths, dad walks him around the house and he looks intently at everything. He is such a curious little guy. He loves to suck on fingers now. He smiles at me when I come and get him in the morning. He went on his first road trip to Grandma and Grandpa Brucks in Mandan, ND. We found out that the static radio stations are very much a necessity on road trips! :) He can scoot himself around on his floor mat or off of it. He had found his thumb to suck on it. He is starting to work on rolling over to his belly. He is a joy to have around! We love him more each month! :)
